Where Dreams are
Built Together
Our Chance is a collaborative Tennessee Alliance for Economic Mobility (TAEM) pilot built to help caregivers move beyond the benefits cliff.
Redefining What’s Possible
A New Path Forward
Summer offers a great opportunity to spend quality time together, enjoy the outdoors, and create meaningful memories without spending a lot of money. Whether you're looking for a relaxing activity or a way to give back to your community, these ideas can help caregivers and their families connect, recharge, and have fun together.
Argyle Avenue Apartments is a newly renovated community in Nashville, Tennessee, located just off 12th Avenue South. The community offers affordable housing in a convenient and well-connected neighborhood.
In a pilot as wide-reaching and diverse as Our ChanceTN, success does not look the same for every caregiver. For La'Diedra High, success meant learning how to stop surviving day to day and start building a future for herself and her children through resilience, mindset growth, and the steady determination to be better each day.
For a single parent in Middle Tennessee, a raise as small as 35 cents an hour can feel more like a punishment than a promotion. Many low-income families who rely on public benefits food assistance, healthcare coverage, childcare subsidies, and housing vouchers risk losing the very supports that help cover their everyday living expenses the moment their earnings rise. This is known as the “benefits cliff”.
