THE benefits cliff
Our ChanceTN offers a unique approach to addressing the benefits cliff, by providing coaching and financial counseling to help you increase your income and achieve your goals. We'll work with you to create a plan that takes into account your unique circumstances, and provide the guidance and support you need every step of the way.
As part of Our ChanceTN, eligible families receive support for 2.5 years that includes:
- Individual coaching
- Financial Counseling tailored for your family
- Customized resources
- Client Assistance of $1,000 in your family’s first year of enrollment in Our ChanceTN.

OUR APPROACH
Our ChanceTN, an initiative by the Tennessee Alliance for Economic Mobility, supports families in moving beyond the benefits cliff. The Tennessee Alliance for Economic Mobility is a public-private partnership comprised of 32 organizations and counting that has developed an innovative approach to transform Tennessee's safety net and ultimately improve low-income families' economic mobility and wellbeing.
Our approach is based in part on Martha O’Bryan Center’s Family Success Network, launched in 2020, supported 200+ families in accomplishing 718 education and employment advancement goals. Martha O’Bryan Center, the lead organization for Tennessee Alliance for Economic Mobility (TAEM), was awarded $25m to improve families’ economic mobility and wellbeing in Middle Tennessee across seven counties to defeat poverty.
