I've picked up some helpful tips through a training class that I think can make these chats a little easier and more comfortable for both you and your little ones.

As the holiday season approaches, many of us gather around tables overflowing with love, laughter, and a warm meal. But for many people that may be experiencing food insecurity in our communities this season, we have some resources that could help with your needs at this time.

One month ago, on Friday, September 26, the Our Chance Tennessee team held its Affinity Group for caregivers, teaming up with partner organization the Martha O'Bryan Center and the Tennessee Alliance for Economic Mobility (TAEM) backbone team to host an inspiring and informative night of health, wellness, belonging, and learning.

When Devin moved to Tennessee with her kids, she believed stability was just around the corner. But without housing, healthcare, or income, she faced unimaginable challenges. Her kids slept in the same bed as her in a crowded house… and hope was slipping away.

That’s when she found Our ChanceTN.

Through personalized coaching, a free CNA course, career support, and help accessing a mobility scooter for her COPD, Devin began to rebuild. She passed her state exam, enrolled in an LPN program, and is now on a path to independence with dreams of owning land, opening a farm, and launching a domestic violence shelter.
